Hey there,

I'm Mel, the CEO and Cofounder of Spekit.

Eight years ago, I put my life on pause, driven by a goal to fix a problem and its horrible consequences I’d felt firsthand.

I’m not your typical founder: I don’t write code, I don’t come from a family of entrepreneurs, and the odds were stacked against us (only 1% of venture funding goes to female founders). But I had this insatiable desire, this burning conviction, to fix the way reps master their roles and win. It was a fire I couldn't ignore.

That fire led me on this incredible entrepreneurial journey creating Spekit and now, it has culminated in something I'm incredibly proud to share with you: My book, "Just-In-Time: The Future of Enablement in a World of AI,"

This book isn't just about enablement; it's about the future of work. Everything we read about AI and the future isn’t far-off science fiction; it’s on the horizon or already happening.

That's why I felt compelled to write this book now.  Sales teams need a fresh approach to enablement—one that embraces speed, agility, and continuous learning in the age of AI.

A little about the book...

The truth is, the world’s changing quickly. The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) is undeniable, and innovation is accelerating at an unprecedented rate. Technological advancement is pushing the pace of business beyond anything we've seen before, transforming how we prospect, sell, and connect with customers.

This fast-moving and hyper-competitive environment demands a radical shift in how we think and operate. What worked yesterday won't cut it tomorrow. I've seen firsthand what happens when organizations fall behind: they become slow and, ultimately, go extinct.

Sales teams must evolve to thrive in this new reality. But they can't do it alone. They need enablement—but not the kind they've relied on in the past. Somewhere along the way, we overcomplicated things and got lost in the endless sea of software categories, features, methodologies, frameworks, and titles. That’s why defining enablement has been so hard.

The old playbooks—the annual training programs, the outdated content libraries, and the reactive approach to enablement—are quickly becoming liabilities.

Why? Because in today’s hyper-competitive market, companies can’t afford to stand still. We’re in the “change” economy and, ultimately, in the race for success, speed is the ultimate weapon. The need to adapt, optimize, and empower your workforce has never been more urgent. The future belongs to those who act decisively and equip their teams to learn and execute at lightning speed. Your competitors won’t wait for you to catch up, nor will your prospects.

Today's go-to-market and enablement leaders are at a crossroads. They can remain in the status quo, clinging to outdated strategies and risk being left behind, or they can seize this moment to redefine what rep enablement, and their roles, mean in the age of AI.

If you’re standing at those same crossroads, this book is your guide to choosing the latter. It's about how to embrace change, leverage the power of AI, and create a learning experience that's as dynamic and adaptable as the world we live in.

It's the culmination of years of research fueled by hundreds of conversations with those on the front lines, including sales leaders, executives, reps, enablement practitioners, and peers, as well as my own hands-on experience and deep passion for transforming how we empower people at work.

This is more than just my story; it's your opportunity to transform your approach to enablement and lead the way in this new era.
